Delete your data or your account

Last updated: 10 August 2026

This page covers the app PlayBook — Cifras e Setlists, published by Tanzõ Studio, and the site at playbook.mus.br. You can delete part of your data without closing your account, or delete the whole account. Both paths are below.

1. Delete part of your data and keep the account

Everything you create can be deleted one item at a time, whenever you want, without talking to anyone and without closing your account:

  • Songs — open the song and use Delete. The song also leaves every setlist of yours.
  • Versions of a song — on the edit screen, delete the version without deleting the song.
  • Setlists — in the setlist list, use Delete.
  • Groups — you can leave a group. If you are the only member, the group is deleted.
  • Invitations — invitations you sent can be cancelled on the group screen.

Deletion is immediate and final: there is no trash bin and no recovery window.

2. Delete your account and everything in it

In the app or on the site

Sign in, go to Profile and choose Delete account. Before you confirm, PlayBook offers to export your data — we recommend doing it, because afterwards there is no way to get it back.

If you can no longer sign in

Write to contato@playbook.mus.br from your registered email address asking for deletion. We confirm that the account is yours and carry out the request within 15 days, the deadline set by article 19 of the Brazilian data protection law (LGPD, Law 13,709/2018) for answering a data subject. If the request comes from a different address, we will ask for some confirmation before deleting — that is what stops a stranger from deleting someone else's account.

3. What is deleted

When the account is closed, the following are permanently erased:

  • Your sign-in account (email, password and the Google link);
  • The name, email and preferences kept in your profile;
  • All of your songs, versions, chord sheets, setlists and setlist items;
  • Images you uploaded, such as a group logo;
  • Your membership in every group. If you were the only member, the group goes with it. If you were the owner and there were other members, ownership passes automatically to the longest-serving member, so the group is never left without one;
  • Pending invitations sent to your email, which are expired.

4. What is kept, and for how long

Not everything disappears at the same instant, and it is only fair that you know what:

  • Usage metrics and crash reports (Google Analytics for Firebase and Crashlytics). These are diagnostic data, without the content of your songs, and they follow the retention period configured in those services, after which they are discarded automatically.
  • An internal record of the deletion, with name and email. It lets us prove the request was carried out, should you or an authority ask later.
  • Content someone else createdstays with them. If a bandmate created a setlist, it is theirs and it goes on existing — leaving the group or deleting your account does not delete other people's material.
  • Records required by law, if any, for the applicable legal period.

5. Your rights

Beyond deletion, the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13,709/2018) grants access, correction, portability and other rights over your data. How to exercise them, and the detail of everything we process, is in the Privacy Policy. The channel for any privacy matter is contato@playbook.mus.br.
